Sterling FormFill

Never printto sign again.

The permit PDF they emailed you — filled, signed, and back in their inbox in two minutes. No printer, no scanner, no upload.

Windows 10/11 · $9 once after September 25 · works completely offline

The problem

Print. Sign. Scan. Repeat. Why?

Half the PDFs a trades business touches want the same ritual: print it, fill it in pen, sign it, photograph it crooked, email it back. The online tools that skip the printer want your permit — with your EIN and account numbers on it — uploaded to their servers. FormFill does the whole job on your machine.

What it does

Real forms and scanned ones

Filling

  • Real PDF form fields become a simple list of inputs
  • Flat or scanned PDF? Click anywhere on the page and type
  • Remembers your answers by field name — the fourth permit fills itself
  • Got Sterling QuickFill? Your EIN, license and address are one click away inside every field
  • Password-protected PDFs open fine — it just asks

Signing & sending

  • Draw your signature once with the mouse — kept forever
  • Or photograph a paper signature; the background vanishes
  • Drag placements to nudge them exactly into the box
  • Initials on every page in one click; today's date in one more
  • Flatten option makes the output uneditable. Originals never touched.

Questions

The honest answers

Is this a legal e-signature service?

No — and that's on purpose. FormFill places your signature image on the page, the digital equivalent of signing in pen. For permits, supplier forms and everyday paperwork, that's exactly what's expected. If a counterparty requires a certified e-signing platform with audit trails, use theirs.

Does my PDF get uploaded anywhere?

Never. FormFill makes no network requests at all. The PDF, your signature, and everything you type stay on your machine.

The PDF has no fillable fields. Can it still work?

Yes — that's most permits, honestly. Switch to “Place text & sign” and click anywhere on the page; what you see is exactly what lands on the saved copy.

What does “flatten” do?

It bakes your filled values and signature into the page itself, so the recipient can read it but not edit it. Some agencies and insurers prefer it that way.

Windows says "unrecognized app" when I run it. Why?

[Match whatever you already say for your other apps here — same answer, same signing situation.]

Windows only?

Yes. Windows 10 and 11.
